Often times AVI files are not the size (dimensions) needed. This tutorial explains how PhotoMorph 2 can be used to re-size an AVI file. However, this function can only be used to make the AVI larger in size. Version 2.02 of PhotoMorph is required.
To change the size (dimensions) of an AVI file to a larger size:
1. Load the AVI file into your Start window.
2. Load an image that is the desired size into the End window. (Any image will do, it just needs to be the size that you want the AVI to end up.)
3. Set the number of frames for the clip to be the same as the number of frames in the AVI file.
4. Ensure Morph is selected for the filter type.
5. Press Options. Choose "Constant - 0%" for filter percentage. Press OK.
6. Open the Animation Parameters. Set the Frames Per Second to be the same as for the AVI file. Also, set the Quality to High.
7. Press Create Animation. The AVI file will be re-sized to the dimensions of the End Image (if the end image is bigger than the AVI file.)
Now here's why...
PhotoMorph 2 allows images (or AVI's) to be different sizes when they are morphed. To accomplish this, PhotoMorph 2 scales the smaller size image / AVI to be the same as the larger. At high quality, this scaling is anti-aliased so that the result appears very smooth.
By choosing morph as the the filter, this process is envoked. However, we don't really want to morph anything, just scale it. Thus, we set the filter percentage to 0%. This causes PhotoMorph 2 not to use the morph effect (0% - constant = no morph), while each frame of the AVI is scaled to the new size - the size of the end image.
